Peter C. Bogle is the founder and managing principal of the law firm of Bogle & DeAscentis, P.C.

His practice covers a broad range of real estate, asset-based lending, mortgage foreclosure, and environmental matters for a variety of institutions, businesses and individuals.

He possesses many years of experience representing lenders with respect to residential and commercial loans and foreclosures. He has represented developers, individuals and environmental groups on each side of the land development debate. He has experience with title examinations, leases, evictions, condominiums, purchase and sale agreements, and subdivisions as well as less common topics like conservation and preservation restrictions, Land Court registrations, water rights and petitions for partition.

Mr. Bogle graduated from Colby College, receiving his A.B. in 1970. He earned his J.D. law degree from The Cornell Law School in 1973. Mr. Bogle's early legal experience included a clerkship with the Honorable Joseph L. Tauro, U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Massachusetts, a position as an environmental lawyer for the Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group, and later a stint as General Counsel of the Massachusetts State Energy Policy Office. Mr. Bogle entered private practice in 1977. He is a fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation.

Attorney Bogle's representative clients include the Fall River Redevelopment Authority, including its Durfee Street, Commerce Park and Fall River BioPark. Lender clients include BankFive, St. Anne's Credit Union and Fall River Municipal Credit Union, major lenders in the South Coast area. In the nonprofit community, Mr. Bogle represents a number of organizations dedicated to preservation of open space and historic landscapes and buildings, such as The Trustees of Reservations and Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust, Inc. He also continues to represent lenders in both commercial and residential loan transactions.

Mr. Bogle was born in Fall River and currently resides with his family there. His passions include books, fishing, body surfing and yoga.
